HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Bikers from all across Alabama rode stopped in the valley for a good cause Saturday.
The Huntsville Chapter of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club hosted a poker run.
The ride commemorated the Buffalo Soldier's Monument that was placed in front of The Academy of Academics and Arts two years ago.
"Try to get the community involved in the statue itself, let the city of Huntsville know that the statue is here, that the statue is important for the entire city and to understand the history of the buffalo soldier," Eddie Glover, club president.
The group also raised money for the local Muscular Dystrophy Association.
