Crime Stoppers: Car thieves make costly mistake

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) - The two crooks in this week's WAFF 48 Crime Stoppers made a mistake.

Obviously mistake number one was breaking the law.

But they also made a mistake by parading in front of a store surveillance camera, making the job of identifying them, catching them and putting reward money in your pocket even easier.

Huntsville Police are looking for two people who broke into a vehicle and stole items at the Walmart Supercenter on South Parkway December 18.

The parking lot surveillance video is really too dark to see, but the two made a mistake when they went inside the store just before breaking into the vehicle.

Huntsville Police investigators were able to find the two on store surveillance inside the store.

The man police are looking for is seen clearly with shaved hair, a white hoodie, jeans and boots.

The woman is also seen quite clearly with long brown hair, jeans, black jacket and brown boots with fur around the top.

If their faces look familiar, you can phone in your anonymous tips to 256-53-CRIME (256-532-7463).

If you tip pays off, you'll be "paid off" with up to a thousand dollars.
