MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
A man was arrested after leading Madison Police on a chase around the city.
The chase snaked around Madison Boulevard, Shelton Road, and eventually to Westscott Drive. That's when the driver, later identified at 38-year-old Gregory Sykes of Madison, bailed from the car and ran from police.
Officers caught him and took him into custody just after 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Police said they attempted to stop Sykes on Madison Boulevard for a traffic violation. He then took off in his vehicle.
Sykes stopped at his home off of Shelton Road and surrendered to officers peacefully. He was arrested and booked into jail on reckless endangerment, attempting to elude and other traffic violations.
