3 arrests made after meth lab explosion

VINA, AL (WAFF) -

One person was injured in a house fire that is believed to have been caused by a meth lab explosion.

Vina Fire and Hodges/Vina Police responded to a house fire on Highway 19 around 6 p.m. Monday. Whey they arrived on the scene, emergency responders found 33-year-old Johny Lloyd Bell with possible chemical burns.

Bell was taken to ECM hospital where he was treated for burns and turned over to law enforcement on drug charges.

Police found an active meth lab in the house. Chief Mike Franklin called the sheriff's department  and drug unit to the house fire. Drug agents found mixed chemicals, lab equipment, and other burned items where multiple labs had been manufactured at the residence.

Russellville fire and Hazmat team responded to the scene and disposed of the hazardous material. Drug agents arrested 34-year-old Dennis Dewayne McCarley and 29-year-old Tobi Hall in connection to the meth lab.
