The Stars were unable to provide heroics for the second night in a row as they fell to the Jackson Generals by a score of 6-4 in extra innings on Monday evening. After the Stars scored three runs in the first two innings, they were held scoreless for the next seven innings as the Generals went on to score five unanswered runs. In the 10th inning, Jackson scored three of those runs off of Stars RHP Eric Marzec, who fell to 1-1 on the season. For the Stars, left fielder Lee Haydel had his third consecutive multi-hit game and hit his first home run of the season in the bottom of the 10th inning.
The final of a five game series between the two teams will take place on Tuesday as the Stars will send RHP Josh Stinson (3-0, 2.77 ERA) to face off against highly-touted LHP Danny Hultzen (1-2, 2.81 ERA). First pitch is at 10:43 AM.
