DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
A man was arrested for an attempted robbery that happened earlier in April.
23-year-old King Solomon Phonore was booked into the Morgan County Jail.
Police said Phonore kicked in the door of a home on Corrine Avenue in Decatur. It happened on April 10. A woman and her two children were in the home when it happened. She screamed when she saw someone come through her carport door. The man ran off to a gold Nissan Maxima. The woman's husband followed the vehicle and told police about their whereabouts.
The vehicle pulled into the Parkway Place Apartment complex. The man ran from the car, leaving behind his driver to get arrested. Abbegail Ahrens was the driver of the getaway vehicle. Ahrens was arrested at the scene.
Police then issued an arrest warrant for King Solomon Phonore after finding out his identity. Police discovered Phonore had been doing business with locations on 6th Avenue in Decatur. On Friday, police were notified that Phonore was inside a business. Police arrived on the scene and arrested Phonore without incident. Phonore is charged with second degree attempted burglary.
