MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A Madison County health inspector gave Restaurante el Azteca an 80 during a
re-inspection. The Huntsville restaurant received the same score during their
previous inspection. The inspector reported finding roaches in the kitchen. The
inspector also reported workers cutting raw chicken and cooked tongue on the
same cutting board at the same time.
Cesia's Bakery on Triana Boulevard scored a 75, the establishment's third
consecutive score below 80. Cesia's received a 79 during each of their two
previous inspections. This time, the health inspector reported food temperature
problems. They discovered beans in a pan that were sixty degrees below the
minimum temperature required to prevent bacterial growth in hot-holding foods.
The inspector also reported raw eggs that needed to be in a cooler were sitting
on a counter top in a carton at room temperature.
Hot and cold temperature problems were also reported at Café 37 on Blue
Spring Road in Huntsville. The health inspector reported chicken being held
more than forty degrees below the minimum hot-holding temperature, and ranch
dressing being held at 71 degrees, well above the maximum 45-degree
cold-holding temperature requirement.
A Colbert County health inspector handed Table 18 in Muscle Shoals a 77. The
inspector reported foods without date-marks, a dirty can opener, and worker
drinks in the food area.
A Franklin County health inspector reported no violations at El Patron Tex
Mex Restaurant in Russellville and gave them a perfect 100.
