A convicted sex offender was arrested on Thursday for violating the Community Notification Act.
32-year-old Steve Glenn Hampton was arrested for failing to update his residence.
Registered sex offenders are not allowed to leave their declared residence for more than three days without notifying law enforcement. When it was discovered that Hampton had not been living at his declared residence, a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Hampton was booked in the Limestone County Jail, a bond has not yet been set.
