Bail set for man accused of killing his grandmother

Bail has been set for a Limestone County man accused of killing his grandmother earlier this week.

James Pigg allegedly hit 69-year-old Barbara Delaney in the head with a hammer and then shot her. He fled the scene in the victim's car and was later caught by police in Decatur.

Pigg was booked into the Limestone County Jail. His bond was set at $100,000 at a hearing Thursday. A preliminary hearing is set for April 10th.

Visitation for Delaney will be on Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and the funeral is Saturday at 2 p.m. These services will be at the Limestone Chapel.
