DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -
The Morgan County Sheriff's Department, Decatur Police and the ABC Board raided two Decatur businesses Tuesday.
The ABC received complaints about the stores and when agents visited them, authorities said the stores were selling packages that were presented as "Spice."
They seized at least 500 grams of an unidentified substance. The stores were charging $50 for three grams, a total value of more than $8,000.
"We were trying to do the right thing. They confiscated dietary supplements in pill form. Some of the things they took were melatonin and b-vitamin based," said Robert McAlpine, Owner of Zero Gravity in Decatur.
"It was all herbal supplements," he said. "They are the same kind of thing you'd find in any health store."
