15 people arrested in drug trafficking ring investigation

HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Federal and local law enforcement officials arrested 15 people in connection with a drug trafficking ring that operated in Madison County for at least nine years.

During the course of the investigation, law enforcement seized about 10 kilograms, or roughly 22 pounds, of cocaine.

The indictment, filed on December 29, 2011 in U.S. District Court, charged 15 people in connection with the drug conspiracy:

  • Kingy Ossarius Holden, 33, of Toney
  • Ivan Fletcher, 36, of Toney
  • Myron Dewayne Tibbs, 34, of Huntsville
  • Roy Christian Lee, 44, of Huntsville
  • Ashley Nicole Chunn, 24, of Huntsville
  • Michael "Little Mike" Brown, 32, of Huntsville
  • Lamaric Trevelle "Akbar" Douglas, 22, of Huntsville
  • William Demetro "Little Will" Holden, 23, of Huntsville
  • Sharode Durome Picket, 31, of Birmingham
  • Nathan Searcy Williams, 29, of Northport
  • Cedrick Ramon Carroll, 33, of Tuscumbia
  • Napoleon Lee Ingram, 44, of Muscle Shoals
  • Arthur James Carroll, 51, of Sheffield
  • Shirley Patterson Carroll, 50, of Sheffield
  • Christopher Lamar Carroll of Sheffield

The defendants face various charges of distributing or possessing powder cocaine, crack cocaine or marijuana, possessing weapons in furtherance of drug trafficking or as a convicted felon, and laundering money.

From the 15 defendants, the indictment seeks forfeiture of a Limestone County house, several cars and trucks and more than $413,000 as proceeds of the drug trafficking conspiracy. The indictment seeks forfeiture of guns, rifles and a shotgun from five of the defendants. From Williams and Kingy Holden, doing business as Spotlight Promotions, the indictment seeks forfeiture of $29,815 it charges was part of money laundering crimes.

Multiple agencies continue to investigate.
