Mo Brooks wins GOP race for 5th Congressional District seat

Republican Mo Brooks won the 5th District Congressional seat in the GOP race. He defeated former Congressman Parker Griffith. Brooks was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives on November 2, 2010.

Brooks was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives in 1982 and was re-elected in 1983, 86, and 90.

Brooks has voted for legislation to stimulate job creation and maintain national defense. He voted for legislation to repeal ObamaCare, and he wants to protect social security. According to Brooks' website, his staff has reduced 5th Congressional Office spending.

He is married to Martha, and they have four children.
