MADISON, AL (WAFF) -
Gabrielle Jones is a senior at Bob Jones High School. She said she wants to be a radiologist, run a non-profit organization for young girls, meet Oprah, and own a Chick-fil-A.
"Everybody who knows me, knows I love Chick-fil-A. I want whoever proposes to me one day to bring me Chick-fil-A on a Sunday, because Chick-fil-A is closed on Sunday. So, that would be special," said Jones.
Gabrielle also loves dance. She has been a dancer since she was three-years-old. She says when she is on stage, she feels like she is having an out of body experience.
"Whenever I like do a performance, I'll know the choreography but after I go on there, I don't feel myself doing the choreography. Like, I feel myself moving, and I can see lights, but I don't remember what I did when I leave the stage," said Jones.
As good as she is on her feet, she is just as good in the classroom.
"Gabby" has a 3.8 grade point average. She is a Spanish language tutor, and active in a variety of clubs including Key Club, Senior Senate, and DECA. She even sponsors a child in Africa, who has become her pen-pal.
"It makes you aware that there is life outside of what you have going on," said Jones.
"She doesn't meet a stranger. She has this friendly personality. She's extraverted, outgoing, she's inquisitive, she loves to learn," said teacher Cindy Huskey.
Gabrielle "Gabby" Jones is this week's a WAFF 48 Star Student.
