Visitation Monday for Chardon shooting victim Demetrius Hewlin

CHARDON, OH (WOIO) -

Visitation services will be held today for 16-year-old Demetrius Hewlin.

Hewlin was one of the five Chardon High School students shot at Chardon High School a week ago Monday.

Demetrius and two others, Daniel Parmertor and Russell King Jr., died at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Visitation will be held at the Burr Funeral Home from 3pm-7pm locate at 116 South Street in Chardon.

Funeral Mass will be held at Chardon's Church of St. Mary located at 401 North St. with interment immediately following at All Soul's Cemetery.

Demetrius' 17th birthday would have been this Thursday, March 8th.

    A ground search ensued that lasted about four hours and covered approximately six miles, ending a few hundred yards east of Hays Mill Road where the suspects were caught in a hunting stand/shoot house.
