HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Until now Huntsville Area Crime Stoppers has seen people on surveillance camera video stealing items, but they've never seen anyone actually stealing a "surveillance camera."

In the early morning hours of February 12th, a man pulled his Chevy Blazer into the driveway of Barry and Cassandra Pendergraft at their Huntsville home on Craigmont Drive.

On their home security camera, you can actually see a man walk up and grab the camera and head for his vehicle.

What he didn't realize was the camera was still hooked up to the cable.

The camera caught his face, his vehicle, some unique and expensive wheels, even his jacket and tennis shoes.

Homeowner Cassandra Pendergraft Cassandra remembers how bizarre it was waking up and realizing the camera was stolen.

"I would have never thought anyone would walk up to a camera and take it and drag it back to his car," she said.

If you who this man is you are urged to call 256-53-CRIME, or you can text or e-mail a tip.

You'll remain anonymous and could earn up to a thousand dollars.

David: Showers and storms ongoing across the Valley

    Saturday, March 25 2017 5:50 PM EDT2017-03-25 21:50:37 GMT

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
