HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

The International Coin Collectors Association Road Show made a stop in the Rocket City.

Associates will be on hand this weekend through March 4th to look at your valuables at THR Associates building off University Drive in Huntsville.

People can bring in there gold or silver coins and experts will take a look at them and let you know how much collectors are willing to pay for them.

"We look at the condition of it, the year it was made and the mint mark on it and we'll determine from there, according to the rarity of the coin. The more rare the coin is, the more it's worth and we will present a check to the consumer for that amount," said Jim Toner.

Experts say you should bring in old jewelry like bracelets, necklaces and even old class rings could get you a few hundred dollars.

THR offices will be open until 5 p.m.

Showers and storms will be ongoing across the Valley this evening. The most widespread rain will be over northeastern AL, but additional scattered storms will track into the Shoals from the west. That round of stormy weather will head east with time and should be out of the Valley after midnight. The threat for severe storms is low, but a few strong storms are possible.
