HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Police are looking for a thief with a taste for barbeque and they're hoping you can help 'smoke them out'.
The theft took place outside the Best Wings restaurant on Blue Spring Road in Huntsville January 27th.
Robert Hewlett handles the catering for this business, but the smoker and trailer he used for that task were stolen.
"It makes you feel like someone just came and took part of your life away," said Hewlett.
In the surveillance video, you can see someone driving a white pick-up truck hauling off the trailer and smoker. Hewlett says he paid $13,000 for them.
He says they aren't just expensive items; they're essential tools for him to make a living. He said someone would have to know the value of them in order to want to steal the equipment.
