DECATUR, AL (WAFF) -

Decatur Police are working to find more clues in the February 6th robbery at Renasant Bank on Stratford Road.

Police say the offender walked into the bank just before Noon on February 6th armed with a handgun. The offender demanded money and fled the scene on foot.

No one was injured in the robbery.

The offender was described as a black man, about five feet, seven inches tall with a slim build. He appeared to be in his 20's. The offender wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants and black tennis shoes.

He was also wearing gloves and a mask at the time of the crime. Investigators say the mask the offender was wearing during the robbery is known as a "Jabberwocky" mask. It's a white plastic mask commonly decorated and worn during Mardis Gras celebrations.

The offender should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Decatur Police Department at 256-341-4660 or the FBI office in Huntsville at 256-539-1711.
