HOLLYWOOD (RNN) - If you are a better, you might want to put your odds on Oscar's Best Original Song category, which has just two competitors this year.

The first nominee is Man or Muppet from the The Muppets. Both music and lyrics for the tune were written by Bret McKenzie.

Real in Rio from Rio is the second nominee. It features music by Sergio Mendes and Carlinhos Brown and lyrics by Siedah Garrett.

According to Gold Derby, Muppets leads with 1/4 odds over Rio's 4/1.

In spite of her film's nomination, Muppets leading lady Miss Piggy was originally undecided if she would attend the Academy Awards, according to British newspaper The Guardian. The actress hinted she would boycott the ceremony in protest of the academy's continued segregation of four-legged actors, the report said.

"It's wonderful to be nominated in the best song category, even if it wasn't a song I sang," Piggy told the newspaper. "As for going to the Oscars, it's hard to feel right about going to an event like that where you're not really welcome."

The actress was once again snubbed in the female acting categories, which included 10 two-legged nominees.

"For some reason, the Academy has refused to recognize pigs as actors," Piggy said.

In the end, Piggy decided she would attend the Oscars, accepting an invitation from the Academy to present with beau Kermit the Frog.

Piggy joins a list of presenters that includes Halle Berry, Bradley Cooper, Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez and Chris Rock.
