HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville Police arrested a man after a short car chase in west Huntsville.
Police said they receive a call at about 2:20 p.m. from a person who noticed a red Chevrolet pickup that was driving recklessly.
Officers responded to the area and began pursuing the man in the truck.
Police said 19-year-old Dontrell Woods fled from officers and rammed at least three patrol cars during the chase.
He eventually wrecked his vehicle on Patton Road south of Drake Avenue. He was arrested at the scene.
The subject was taken to Huntsville Hospital by ambulance to be evaluated.
Woods is charged with four counts of attempted murder, attempting flee and elude, carrying a pistol in a vehicle without permit, possession of a controlled substance and DUI.
A man led police on a chase through Huntsville.
