CHEROKEE, AL (WAFF) -
Emergency crews shut down the eastbound lane of Highway 72 at Natchez Trace because of a wreck involving a semi-truck.
The wreck happened before 7 a.m. Tuesday morning. No one was injured.
Officials said the truck leaked fuel and hit a barrier of the overpass.
They closed a lane of traffic to inspect the overpass for any significant damage. They reopened the bridge shortly before noon and said they did not find any damage to the overpass.
