A winter weather advisory has been canceled for north Alabama and southern Tennessee.
We will continue to see rain and sleet mixed for late Monday evening. After midnight it will just be light to moderate rain. Temperatures will drop into the middle 30s overnight before climbing back into the 40s by 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Around noon on Tuesday most of the rain will be gone but some of the cloud cover will remain with highs in the upper 40s.
More rain is forecast for late Wednesday evening. Some scattered thunderstorms could also produce some locally heavy rain.
Improving weather will move in Thursday afternoon highs are expected to be in the mid 50's on Friday.
