MORGAN COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

Starting Monday, construction crews will close the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 to repair a landslide.

Recent rain eroded a big chunk of land under the road.

Crews will close a six mile stretch, from exit 328 to exit 334. Exit 328 is in Hartselle at State Road 36. Exit 334 is near Decatur at State Road 67.

Drivers must get off I-65 at exit 325. Commercial drivers must get off at exit 318.

The quickest detour takes nearly 30 minutes. From exit 325, head east on Thompson Road. That road forks. You'll need to stay to the left, which is Mt. Tabor Road. From there, you can either take a right on State Road 36 and follow it to 67. Or you take New Center Road to 67.

State Road 67 will then take you back to I65.

For detour information, motorists may tune their radios to the Highway Advisory Radio System (HARS):
