MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Madison County Sheriff's officials have arrested a man they were searching for who is charged with rape.
The Madison County Sheriff's Office for obtained warrants for Jarvis Dennis for one count of first degree rape and two counts of sexual torture. He was arrested Tuesday evening.
Police say Dennis' last known address is 109 Bramble Way in Toney. People who live along the street were shocked to find out the charges Dennis faces.
"I was wondering what was going on with all the deputy cars," said Leon Rathborn. He lives in the neighborhood. "To go from seeing none in months to three in one day, I knew something was up." Rathborn said.
"Wow, I'm speechless," said another neighbor who didn't want to be identified. "I hope they catch him," she said.
Dennis is now in the Madison County Jail on a $180,000 bond.
