The playground in Phil Campbell's community park opened to the public Monday.
The playground is just phase one of a two phase Memorial Park Project. Monday morning community leaders made the final inspections on the playground and officially opened it to the public.
The new playground is equipped with a climbing wall, multiple slides and more.
Members of the Phil Campbell Civitan Club are still working on raising money for their April 27th Memorial and Fountain. They also have plans to include a Veteran's Memorial in the park.
Community leaders expect the entire project to be finished around the one year anniversary.
