BIRMINGHAM, AL (WIS) - A linebacker recruited by Clemson University decided to sign with the Auburn Tigers on National Signing Day. Now while that sounds like a pretty basic story, it's the reason why he didn't choose Clemson is what makes this a story.
According to four-star rated Cassanova McKinzy, he picked Auburn because the university lacked a Chick-Fil-A restaurant.
"They had no Chick-Fil-A on campus," said McKinzy. "You had to go 15 minutes off campus to go to a real restaurant. Their café was kinda small and their facilities were far away from the classes and the dorms."
Now we're certain Auburn's sports facilities, coaches, and fellow players are more of a reason why McKinzy chose them over Clemson, but really, who can resist the allure of a chicken sandwich?
