MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
Rainfall in north Alabama worry some homeowners in Madison County who are still dealing with flood problems.
Anne Holland lives downhill where runoff flows right in her front yard and she has double the problems because water gets backed up in the cotton field she has behind her house.
She reached out to Madison County Engineers to solve the problem. They have assessed the situation and come up with a drainage solution but now they need cooperation from the cotton field owner.
"With anymore storms that they are predicting, three, four, five inches of rain, we're going to be saturated once again. It's taken a toll on us," said Holland.
County engineers are working with the cotton field owner to get permission to work on the drainage system and help Holland's flooding problem.
