DECATUR, AL (WAFF) - A trial is set for former Alabama Crimson Tide football player Rolando McClain.
McClain, a Decatur native, will go before a Decatur judge on charges of assault, reckless endangerment and discharging a firearm.
23-year-old Rishard Papscott told Decatur Police investigators that McClain and Jerradius Willingham physically assaulted him at a home on Skyview Street in December 2011. As Papscott crawled to his car, McClain allegedly put a gun to his head then fired a shot past the victim's ear.
McClain's trial will be held in Municipal Court May 17th. He has pleaded not guilty.
