JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A Jackson County man is charged with killing his girlfriend.
Jackson County Sheriff officials say 53-year-old Sherry Cruthirds Necaise of Saucier, Mississippi was found dead by her boyfriend Monday at his home off County Road 88 just outside of Henagar. She died of an apparent gunshot wound.
Officials say it was the same location where his previous pregnant wife was found shot back in 1996 according to relatives.
Officials say both were employed as trucker drivers.
52-year-old Eddie Charles Chandler was initially charged with a felon in possession of a weapon on Monday due to a previous domestic violence conviction.
Chandler went before a district judge Wednesday afternoon. His bond was set at $250,000 on the murder charge and $5,000 on the unrelated gun charge.
Sheriff's officials declined to discuss the incident 15 years ago. They say it's a death investigation that is still open.
