HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A rematch for U.S. House is shaping up in north Alabama.
Former Rep. Parker Griffith of Huntsville said that he will sign up Friday to oppose incumbent Mo Brooks in the Republican primary on March 13.
Griffith is a Huntsville
physician who was elected to Congress in 2008 as a Democrat to represent
the 5th Congressional District in the Tennessee Valley. He switched
parties before seeking election in 2010 and lost to Brooks in the
Republican primary.
Griffith said he plans to contrast his record from two years in Congress with Brooks' record.
