A Madison County man convicted of federal bribery charges and money laundering may have to forfeit millions of dollars as well as serve prison time.

A federal judge in Birmingham sentenced Eddie Pressley to 12 years in prison.

Judge Hopkins indicated that she would enter the government's proposed forfeiture order, which would require Eddie Pressley to forfeit $21 million as well as real estate and several automobiles.

Thursday's sentencing is for Pressley's 2011 conviction on charges he took kickbacks in exchange for Department of Defense contracts in Kuwait and Iraq. The contracts included deals for bottled water and security fencing.

Prosecutors said the crimes took place as Pressley worked as a contract specialist in Kuwait.
