Shelters offer warm place to stay in freezing temperatures

When the temperatures dip into the teens, as they are expected to tonight, the average person can usually escape the cold inside. But what if you don't have a home to go to? Coming up tonight at 10, Margo Gray will show you how one local shelter is preparing to help the homeless in one county. And we will have some useful and practical tips you can use to protect yourself and your home during the cold weather.

We'll also show you a new high tech tool Madison County officials plan to use to help you report crimes and help identify suspects. The tool has already been used to solve two crimes, and it hasn't even been unveiled yet.

He led the University of North Alabama to three Division 2 National Championships. Now, Bobby Wallace is returning to UNA as head coach.  Sports Director Scott Theisen will have more details on when the head Lion will be back in the den.

We will also have a follow up on the deadly December wreck that claimed the life of two women and left another in critical condition. How the community showed up to help the family of Amber Morrow tonight at 10.

I hope you will join us tonight on WAFF 48 News at 10. I'll see you then.
