Huntsville Police have made an arrest in the December 8th murder of Cornelius Powell.
Police say 19-year-old Xavier Shaquille Green of Huntsville shot Powell around 7:30 p.m. on Galaxy Way.
Powell was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Green was charged with murder and is being held in the Huntsville/Madison County Metro Jail on a $75,000 bond.
Major Crimes unit is investigating the case. They are awaiting the final autopsy report and evidence testing reports from the Department of Forensic Science.
