Dozens of inmates are facing charges after a riot in a Tennessee jail.
WAFF 48 news learned the Tennessee State Highway Patrol responded to the Lincoln County Jail Sunday.
According to the Elk Valley Times, the inmates in E-block caused thousands of dollars worth of damage. They flooded 3-cell blocks, vandalized walls and floors, ripped up law books and threw papers around.
18 inmates face charges of inciting a riot and vandalism.
Authorities tell the Elk Valley Times, the inmates just wanted to create havoc.
