Gus Malzahn will accept the Head coaching position at Arkansas State. According to our Raycom sister station KAIT, Malzahn has accepted the job.
Malzahn joined the Auburn coaching staff in 2009. His first season as Offensive Coordinator, the Tigers set a school touchdown record en route to a 8-5 season.
The following season, Malzahn's offense shattered every offensive record for Auburn. Along with future Heisman trophy winner Cam Newton, The Tigers finished 14-0, winning the BCS National Title.
Malzahn is expected to make $850,000 a season with the Red Wolves and could be introduced Wednesday at 3:30.
