Jim McElwain becomes Colorado State Head Coach

After rampant speculation, Alabama Offensive Coordinator Jim McElwain was introduced today as the next coach at Colorado State. McElwain's contract is for 5 years, at $1.3 million a season.

McElwain will recruit for the Rams this week before the mandated dead period for recruiting takes place December 19th. the following week he will return to Tuscaloosa to resume his duties with Alabama in preparation for the BCS National Title game against LSU January 9th.

McElwain spent three seasons with Alabama as Offensive Coordinator.
