The Auburn football team took to the practice fields for the first time in two weeks with a 90 minute practice Monday evening.
Practicing for the first time since Nov. 24, the Tigers worked on technique and fundamentals during Monday's practice.
"I thought the energy level was up, as it should have been with the first day of practice," head coach Chizik said. "We looked rusty, but we got a lot accomplished. We didn't work a lot on Virginia, we worked a lot on Auburn tonight."
Chizik added the Tigers will continue to work on fundamentals during the next few practices.
"We'll work on this for the next couple of days," Chizik said. "We need to work on a lot of the little details of the game we need to improve on."
Auburn will practice each day this week as the Tigers prepare for the Chick-fil-A Bowl and a New Year's Eve game against the Virginia Cavaliers. The game will kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT on Dec. 31 from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. The game will be televised by ESPN.
Tickets for the Chick-fil-A Bowl are $80 and may be purchased through the Auburn Ticket Office via www.aubtix.com or calling 1-855-AUB-2010. All seating assignments will be based on Tigers Unlimited Priority. For the best seats, fans are strongly encouraged to place orders through the Auburn Athletic Department.
