MUSCLE SHOALS, AL (WAFF) -
A woman was taken into custody in Muscle Shoals for questioning in connection to a missing persons investigation.
32-year-old Amanda Taylor has been missing since October 17th. Investigators said they took Laurel Pruitt and Ronald Weems into custody in connection with this case.
On Tuesday, investigators searched the home on Moss Avenue where Taylor was last seen. They are not releasing information about the search, but they took several pieces of evidence from the scene.
"You can hear the pain in the family's voices," said Muscle Shoals Police Chief Robert Evans. "This is their loved one and that they're concerned about her whereabouts and well being and what's been communicated to us is that the not knowing is the worst part."
Authorities are still waiting on forensics to identify human remains that were found in Colbert County over the weekend.
