MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -
A little girl lost her life after a two car crash Thanksgiving Day in Madison County.
The crash happened on Maysville Road when a car crossed into the northbound land and collided with a truck. Each vehicle was carrying an adult and a child.
HEMSI director Don Webster said the 10-year-old child passenger had non-life threatening injuries.
The drivers, Gloria Erwin and Jeffrey Malone, have been discharged from the hospital.
The 8-year-old child, identified by a family member as Laura Miller, was flown to Huntsville Hospital, where she later died.
State troopers said Erwin, the driver of the car, may have been texting at the time of the accident.
