MADISON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

The Madison County Board of Education is conducting a search for a new superintendent that will complete the term of  Dr. Terry Davis who will retire effective December 1st.

Under Alabama Law, the Board is responsible for appointing someone to fill the vacancy for the remainder of the current term, which ends on December 31st 2014.

The Madison County Board of Education is surveying school system employees and the community to get input on the characteristics and skills they think will be important in the next Madison County superintendent. The survey takes about 10 minutes and all responses are anonymous. With the current Superintendent retiring on December 1st, the timeline for the survey is only one week.
