Auburn Stops Kennesaw State

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - Frankie Sullivan poured in 22 points for

Auburn in a 68-55 win over Kennesaw State on Monday night, giving

the Tigers their first 2-0 start since the 2006-07 season.

Sullivan, who missed all but six games last year with the

lingering effects of an ACL tear, hit 6 of 11 from the field,

including 5 of 9 from 3-point range as the Tigers shot 46.2 percent

(24 of 52) on the night and 8 of 15 (53.3 percent) from beyond the


Rob Chubb scored 13 and had seven rebounds for Auburn and Varez

Ward had nine points and six assists.

The Owls (0-2) struggled without their top offensive threat,

6-foot-7 guard Markeith Cummings, who sat on the bench in sweats

but did not play for an undisclosed reason.

Kennesaw State hit only 18 of 55 (32.7 percent) from the floor

and 5 of 19 (26.3 percent) from 3-point range.
