Officers from several agencies are searching for at least one suspect in the area of Slaughter Road and Farrow Road.

Officers from Madison County Sheriff's Department, Huntsville Police and Madison Police took one suspect into custody on the Indian Creek Greenway.

Investigators say because of several daytime burglaries in Northwest Madison County, they had saturate the area trying to catch the suspects.

Tuesday morning, a man reported to deputies that he saw someone trying to break into his neighbor's house in the area of Indian Creek and Douglas Road. He gave deputies a description and they spotted the car in the area of Research Park.

Officers converged on the area of Cypress Creek Drive and River Oaks Drive.

One person was taken into custody. Authorities are still looking for other suspects.

Columbia High School was on lockdown as part of protocol because of the search. The school was taken off lockdown later in the afternoon.
