The Huntsville Tigers, Alabama's only women's full-contact football team, will hold the first of many tryouts for the 2012 season on Saturday, November 12. Tryouts will be from 4-6:30pm at D1 Sports Training Facility located on Bailey Cove Road. No experience is necessary. All women over the age of 18 are encouraged to tryout. There will be a $15 fee assessed at the time of tryouts. The Tigers are the newest member of the Women's Spring Football League with player Carmelisa Sullivan taking over ownership of the team. Huntsville has had a football team since 2000, one of the oldest markets in the nation.
