HUNSTVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Huntsville Police are investigating a Halloween night shooting at the Dr. Richard Showers Recreation Center on Blue Spring Road in Huntsville.
Police say 20-year-old Christopher Collier was shot and killed and 17-year-old Martez Jones was shot in the leg. He was treated and released from Huntsville Hospital.
Police took Jones in for questioning. Jones and his family say that they're angry with police.
The family said they felt police could have questioned Jones in the hospital. Instead, the family says officers took him to the South precinct while he was still bleeding. The family says they plan on filing a complaint.
Police have not commented on the situation. There's no word yet on any suspects in the shooting.
This is not the first tragedy for the Collier family. Christopher's sister, Christine, was killed in the Lee High School bus crash in November, 2006.
