The Marshall County Long Term Recovery Committee is conducting a door-to-door survey beginning Friday, October 14th.

In addition, walk-in centers will be available at the Arab and Guntersville Recreation Centers. The Arab walk-in center will be open beginning Friday, October 14th though Wednesday, October 19th. The Guntersville walk-in center will open on Thursday, October 20th through Tuesday, October 25th. The centers will be open each weekday from 9 am - 4 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am - 1 pm. The walk-in centers will be closed on Sundays.

The Long Term Recovery Committee has partnered with the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee, better known as "The Green Shirts" to conduct an assessment of long-term recovery needs for residents in Marshall County affected by the April 27th tornados.

Officials say this is a step in working with the families to see that all available resources have been applied for and that their long-term and unmet needs have been identified.

The volunteer teams will be wearing "Green Shirts" with the CRWRC logo and will have identification name tags. If you are not contacted by this group and you have unmet needs, please call one of the following numbers: (256) 571-7716, (256) 582-9592 - Spanish speaking or English, (256) 582-9525, (256) 586-6793, or (256) 506-4004.
