2 injured in Hartselle wreck

HARTSELLE, AL (WAFF) -

Two people were hurt in a car accident Saturday afternoon in Morgan County.

A car and a pick-up truck collided just before 2:30 p.m. on Tapscott Road, which is off Main Street in Hartselle.

Emergency crews had to peel back the roof of the car, where the driver 17-year-old Kharistine McLemore from Hartselle was trapped.

State troopers said her passenger 24-year-old Mark Stowe also from Hartselle was taken to the hospital with injuries. Both were wearing seatbelts.

McLemore had to be air-lifted.  No word yet on their conditions.
