Christine Pae joined the WAFF 48 news team as a one-woman band reporter in September 2011. She's very excited to be working in Huntsville, Alabama. This is her first time living in the South and already she's seeing much of that famed southern hospitality.
Christine was born in Los Angeles and grew up in a suburb of Orange County. She went to college at the University of California, San Diego where she caught the journalism bug while reporting for the campus newspaper. After graduating, she moved to Chicago to attend Northwestern University and earned a master's degree in journalism.
Prior to reporting at WAFF, Christine was an associate producer at KSWB Fox 5 in San Diego. She wrote for the evening and morning newscasts and was also an assignment desk editor on weekends.
Christine also contributed to several travel books and has a background in new media from stints in KCET in Los Angeles.
In her spare time Christine likes to practice yoga, read, go camping and shop at farmers markets to scope out the best local produce. She also loves to cook and is always experimenting with new recipes.
