TUSCUMBIA, AL (WAFF) -

The woman at the center of one of Alabama's highest profile missing person's cases is back in jail.

Kim Gonzalez Williams is the step-mother of Andrea Gonzalez, the 5-year-old disappeared in Russellville in November of 1993.

Williams admitted the child died after being scalded in a bath tub, but her body has never been found.

Williams is now in the Tuscumbia city jail on several felony and misdemeanor charges after police picked her up on an outstanding warrant.

Police arrested Kim Gonzalez Williams in Littleville for a failure to appear warrant in connection to a previous shoplifting charge.

Police say when they transported Williams to the female facility in Tuscumbia is when she started causing trouble.

Investigators told WAFF 48 News corrections officers caught Williams trying to sneak in lortab pills.

Officers said Williams put up a fight when they tried to take the pills away.

They said they thought she was under control and had taken all of the pills, until she dove on the floor, attempting to eat one last pill.

Williams is accused of pulling one of the jailers who tried to stop her into the cell's metal bed frame, we're told the officer received minor injuries but did not require medical attention.
