MADISON, AL (WAFF) - September 11th moved so many people in so many ways.
And for some, it moved them to act.
Bob Jones senior, Zayne Sharadge said it compelled him to join the military.
His parents were both Marines and following 9-11, his father enlisted in New York's Army National Guard.
Sharadge has several family members who were New York City police officers at the time of the attacks.
He said service is a part of who he is.
"It has become a big part of my life. It's founded some of my family ethics and whatnot and what I believe in as an American and being a part of Bob Jones as a Patriot as well," said Sharadge.
Sharadge is a Marine Reservist.
He leaves in January for boot camp.
