Hornets player named D-I player of week

WR Nick Andrews was voted as the HSRN.com Division I National Player of the Week in fan voting that concluded Wednesday morning.

Andrews set career highs in receptions (10) and touchdowns catches (three) while gaining 104 yards in the Hornets' 41-9 season-opening win at Mississippi Valley State. In the process, Andrews continued his ascent up the ASU career receiving charts, as he now ranks second in receptions, seventh in receiving yards and fifth in touchdown receptions in school history

In Div. I FCS voting Andrews won with a land slide of 517 votes, followed by RB-Trabis Ward of Tennessee St with 22 votes,  QB Jamarr Robinson  of Bethune Cookman with 20 votes, and  QB Chris Walley  of Norfolk St. with  11 votes.
